American Diabetes Association Recognizes Dr. Greg Miller for

His Contributions to Camp Needlepoint

Welch, MN — The American Diabetes Association honored Dr. Greg Miller, a family physician at Vibrant Health Family Clinics, at their annual banquet for his commitment and contributions to camp Needlepoint – a fun and safe camping experience for children living with diabetes. The banquet was held at the Treasure Island Resort and Casino to recognize and celebrate the advances made in diabetes research, innovation, advocacy, and to honor key supporters.

Camp Needlepoint is located at YMCA Camp St. Croix, south of Hudson, WI on a wooded bluff along the St. Croix River. The camp is open to kids age 8 to 17 to let kids have a great time participating in traditional camp activities and connecting with other children with diabetes. Dr. Miller takes a week of vacation each year to serve as the physician volunteer for the camp. He and the other medical staff oversee daily diabetes care and help campers learn to live successfully with their disease.
