Because it has been noted that some counties have had many fewer COVID-19 tests done compared to other areas of the state, the National Guard has a program to go into communities to do one day of testing to try to understand how prevalent COVID-19 is in the community and to close any gap in testing for that area. Both Pierce and St. Croix Counties were chosen and will have drive-up testing sites as noted above.
For an individual to qualify to be tested:
1. They must currently be experiencing symptoms (even mild symptoms)
2. They must be at least 5 years old
3. They must live or work in Wisconsin
4. They must call ahead to schedule an appointment
The National Guard will be able to do several hundred tests each day and there are many appointments still available. The healthcare providers at Vibrant Health want to work with the county to encourage as many community members as we can to take advantage of this opportunity.
